Q. I'm trying, for the first time, to use the library site to look up newspaper articles on FEMA assistance for Hurricane Katrina victims and any other disaster our government helped victims recover from.

The Delgado Online Library Catalog, called ISSAC, will allow you to search for hardbound and electronic books that the Delgado libraries own.

If you want to search for newspaper articles you will need to look at Delgado's online databases.

For newspaper articles I would recommend trying the databases LexisNexis, Newspaper Source, and Academic search Complete (newspapers and magazines). I tried searching the two words FEMA Katrina in Newspaper source and pulled up 132 newspaper articles.

If you are not on campus, you will have to log in with a username and password. The username would be your LOLA# and the password would be your birthdate formatted MMDDYY.
